In most French airports it
is possible to rent a car directly from the airport
but only from their rental partners. Hertz, Alamo,
Avis, Budget and Europcar usually have their services
at the airport. They are large and well organised
agencies offering all types of cars to suit your
budget and need. As a general rule, hiring from
a larger agency means you have more service centers
which can help you out in case your car breaks
down in the middle of the country. They also offer
mid-range to luxury vehicles with a range of options
on a payment basis. Third Party Liability cover
for Bodily Injury and Property Damage in normally
included in the cover charge, though the level
of coverage depends on the current legislation
and market. Besides this certain other coverage
are also available or included by default. While
hiring a car you must provide a valid drivers
licence, a passport and documents with proof of
your permanent address. All vehicles must be checked
prior to finalising any agreement and any defects
or damages not listed in the agreement must be
brought to the notice of the agency.
